Ordering  a Transcript

Service Advisory

>The University of Toronto is proud to offer an official and certified eTranscript (PDF).

>Effective November 19, 2019, the transcript fee has changed to $15.

>Ordering the transcript through mail and email is no longer offered. Please place your order using one of options listed below.

>Transcripts ordered with the delivery method of Pickup must have the recipient information of the student/alumnus. Any Pickup order addressed to another recipient will automatically be mailed to that individual or third party, and the transcript will not be available for pickup at Enrolment Services.

>Transcripts can no longer be picked up by an authorized third party (e.g., parent).  Please order an official eTranscript for the fastest processing and delivery times (typically same day).

>The UTTC no longer completes tracking forms.  If you require a tracking form to be completed and attached to your paper or eTranscript, please contact your registrar’s office first, and attach the completed version of the tracking form to your transcript order. If you have submitted an uncompleted tracking form, it will be sent as attached to your transcript order.

>The UTTC no longer issues Letters for Credit Hours Conversion. Please contact your registrar’s office.

The University of Toronto is pleased to offer the official transcript in both digital format (PDF) and paper.The University of Toronto Transcript Centre (UTTC) produces consolidated transcripts for almost all students and alumni at the University of Toronto. A student’s transcript is an official copy of their academic record and contains a summary of their academic activities at the University,  including courses, grades, programs of study, grades/marks, and degrees conferred. The official transcript is certified by the University Registrar, bearing the Registrar’s seal.

eTranscript: Login to ACORN with your UTORid and under the “Transcript & Enrolment Confirmation” menu, select “Order eTranscript”

Paper Transcript: Login to ACORN with your UTORid and under the “Transcript & Enrolment Confirmation” menu, select “Order Paper Transcript.”

Fees

$15 per transcript (digital delivery and Canada post mailing included in the price)

Processing Times

eTranscript (FASTEST PROCESSING & DELIVERY): typically processed and delivered the same business day.

Paper Transcript: typically processed within 1 business day. See below for estimated pickup and delivery times.

Please note, any transcripts containing academic activities prior to September of 1998 will add 2 additional business days of processing to both paper and eTranscript orders.

Estimated Delivery Times

eTranscript (PDF): available the same business day after processing

Pickup at Enrolment Services: available 2 business days after processing

Pickup at the University of Toronto Mississauga or University of Toronto Scarborough: available 2 to  3 business days after processing

Valid photo identification is required to pick up your transcript (the TCard is accepted).

Canada Post Mail: Please see the Canada Post Website for estimated delivery times.

Important Information

>The UTTC will not produce a transcript when the student/alumnus has a financial, administrative or restrictive hold on the record. Ordering will be disabled on ACORN when a hold is detected. Orders placed through the  alumni transcript ordering service will not be processed and must be resubmitted after the hold has been resolved. Please contact your registrar office to resolve your administrative or restrictive hold, or contact the UTTC for more information about your financial hold.

>The paper transcript is official only when received in a signed and sealed envelope issued by the UTTC. The eTranscript is official only when bearing the Blue Ribbon Symbol and a valid digital certification issued by Globalsign CA for Adobe.

>Transcripts ordered with the delivery method of Pickup must have the recipient information of the student/alumnus. >The University of Toronto Transcript Centre does not complete attachments (e.g., tracking forms). All documents attached to eTranscript orders will be sent to recipients as uploaded. Only tracking forms are permitted to be sent with paper transcript orders. Tracking forms attached to paper transcript orders will be sent ‘as-is’ and will not be completed by UTTC staff. All other documents submitted  to paper transcript orders will not be delivered with the transcript. If you require a tracking form to be completed and attached to your paper or eTranscript, please contact your registrar office first, and attach the completed version of the tracking form to your transcript order.

>Transcripts for pick up that have not been collected will be destroyed after 6 months.  No refund will be issued for these transcripts.

>The UTTC no longer issues Letters for Credit Hours Conversion. Please contact your registrar office.
